About Zuri's Giveaway
Zuri's Giveaway, Inc. is a dedicated non-profit public charitable organization committed to supporting communities in need. Every month, on the first Saturday (unless otherwise noted), we provide free clothing, shoes, household items, and food to individuals and families who are facing hardships. Our mission is to ease the burden of daily living by offering essential resources to those in need, fostering a sense of dignity, empowerment, and community support. We are proud to serve as a beacon of hope, working to create a brighter, more equitable future for all.
Board of Directors
Kenneth Smith II
Kenneth Smith II is the Director of Zuri's Giveaway, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering communities through resources and outreach. With a passion for service, Mr. Smith works to make a positive impact, reaching people from all walks of life with kindness, compassion, and a focus on community.
Raised in North Carolina, Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Anderson University in 2009. He is also the founder of the musical group Village of God and has been involved with the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) Upstate SC Chapter. His music, including songs like "Live Out Your Assignment" and "Greater Strength is He," has inspired many and reflects his belief in living purposefully.
Mr. Smith believes that true service is about action—making a real difference in the lives of others. This philosophy drives his work at Zuri’s Giveaway, where he is committed to creating lasting change for people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
Through his music and leadership, Mr. Smith continues to champion transformation, growth, and hope, inviting everyone to join in creating a better tomorrow for all.
Samara Smith
Samara Smith is the Director of Zuri's Giveaway, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting and uplifting communities. A serial entrepreneur, singer, songwriter, comedienne, and radio personality, Samara brings a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and passion to her work.
Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Samara’s journey began in the Navy, where she served her country at the age of 17. She later pursued a career in cosmetology, becoming a licensed professional after attending Capri College. As a successful entrepreneur, Samara has founded several businesses and is a strong advocate for female empowerment, having been featured in multiple publications for her achievements.
In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Samara is a talented singer, songwriter, and comedian. She has released music, performed across the country, and contributed to several radio shows, blending comedy and music in her own distinct style.
As the Director of Zuri’s Giveaway, Samara is committed to making a positive impact in her community, inspiring others to pursue their dreams, and empowering individuals, especially women, to reach their full potential.
Beverly Griffin
Beverly Griffin is a Director at Zuri's Giveaway, where she plays a vital role in supporting and uplifting her community. Born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, Beverly has dedicated her career to helping families thrive. As a Parent Peer Support Specialist and Kinship Care Coordinator, she has extensive experience in providing guidance, support, and resources to families navigating the challenges of caregiving and kinship care.
Beverly's deep passion for making a difference in the lives of others drives her work, and her commitment to empowering families is evident in everything she does. Through her leadership at Zuri's Giveaway, Beverly continues to create meaningful change, working to provide resources and support for those in need.
Crystal Hughes
Crystal Hughes is a Director at Zuri's Giveaway, where she is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community. Born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC, Crystal brings a strong sense of compassion and leadership to her work. Jennifer Holcomb

Michael A. Glenn
Michael A. Glenn is a Director at Zuri's Giveaway, where he is committed to serving and uplifting his community. Born and raised in Union, SC, Michael is a proud graduate of Morris College. He is the founder and owner of Community Mortuary, with locations in Union and Spartanburg, SC, and has a strong history of serving others. A former pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, Michael has dedicated much of his life to guiding and supporting individuals and families. Through his leadership at Zuri's Giveaway, he continues to make a positive impact, helping to provide essential resources and support to those in need.
